NORMALLY THIS AREA IS A BIT SILLY ON MY WEBSITE BUT THAT FEELS WEIRD FOR A MORE PROFESSIONAL PAGE

COMMISSIONS

Hiya! I am open to commissions for several project types, mainly short fiction writing, worldbuilding, video production, and voiceover/voice acting. Below are examples of my work, along with more specific project-types I am interested in being commissioned for. In general, the rates I list below are estimates--I prefer to hash out final rates during the project-negotiation process since it'll depend on the nature of the work. My guiding principle is to do no less than $20 / hr, but I have skills that I charge more for. Again, specifics are below, and if you really want a tl;dr, I will do just about any creative work within reason for decent enough pay.

If you want to send me a commission request, my email is uluscri@gmail.com, and more info about that process is at the bottom of this page.

Oh, and I use absolutely no AI. Do not ask that of me; I will ignore your request. I value human art and beauty too much.

These project types are ordered by my preference and skill:

  • Worldbuilding

    • I love love love worldbuilding! I've been doing it since I could remember (I would sketch planets and weird creatures as a tiny child), and I've always leaned towards weird and experimental ideas while being rigorously detailed.
    • Worldbuilding is a HUGE topic and can be tied to any of the below project-types (such as writing an in-world poem that will be featured in your game/novel, or sketching a few weird creatures). Thus, this section is for more high-level, developmental worldbuilding, like astronomical details, mapmaking, histories, cultures, magic systems, etc. The foundations. The ground-work.
    • The things I'm most excited about and able to do well: Mapmaking, History, Geography, Physics Systems (basically hard magic systems), Astronomy, and Microbiology.
    • A fair warning: the only thing I'm good at drawing are maps. I will sketch stuff as I worldbuild, but if you want professional-level art, you should commission a real artist.
    • WORK EXAMPLES: (put Reliul examples and video showcases here)
    • PRICING: $45 / hr of work, tho it depends on the demand of the project. If it's a map doodle, like $15, but if it's a whole, fleshed-out world, expect >$1000 (heavily dependant on scope).
  • Fiction Writing

    • On the edge: I am willing to write NSFW works, but know that, as of writing this, I've never written a single sex scene. So uh, I'm willing to try ghostwriting something like that if you really want me to, but that's your warning :p.
    • WORK EXAMPLES:
    • PRICING: $35 / 100 words.
  • Voiceover/Voice Acting

    • WORK EXAMPLES:
    • PRICING: $10 / 200 words in the script for a simple voiceover, and $15 / 200 words for projects with voice acting.
  • Video/Audio Production

    • WORK EXAMPLES:
    • PRICING: $35 / hr of work.
  • Essays/Blogs

    • WORK EXAMPLES:
    • PRICING: A little lower than my fiction rate, so $25 / 100 words
  • Poetry

    • WORK EXAMPLES:
    • PRICING: Generally $10 / line, but it depends on how technical the poem. Poems with lots of rhyme, meter, and assonance could require double the rate.
  • OTHER

    • If you see any other of my creations, such as photography, and want me to make that for you, just ask. Or critique/proofreading your own work (I do all my own editing, so am willing to do so for clients too :) ). I'm open to discussing quotes on just about anything!
  • What I WON'T Do

    • Anything promoting hateful themes, like transphobia, homophobia, racism, etc. I won't even respond to a proposal even slightly promoting anything of the sort.
    • Proposals with very few details. If your proposal is not much deeper than "Make a fantasy world with dragon people," or "Write a short story about clouds," I will email you back asking for more details.
    • Anything that would take years to complete. Unless it's very well-paid and the weekly goals aren't demanding, I just have too many of my own large projects to dedicate more than 6 months to a single, demanding commission.
    • Otherwise, I could reject your proposal for any number of reasons. Maybe I already have too many active projects. Maybe I'm just taking a break from commissions for a bit. In those cases, I will let you know.

THE COMMISSION PROCESS

First: decide what you want, then send me an email proposal. The more specific the better, though it's okay if you don't have all the project details right away. We can discuss that if I accept your proposal.

Second: I accept your proposal! Or I don't, in which case, the steps end. But assuming I do, we'll continue the discussion over Discord dms.

Third: I will ask for daily/weekly goals to keep me accountable. I take very detailed notes and will send them to you for if you want to review them. I also recommend weekly meetings to make sure I'm still in line with what you want, though I understand if your schedule's too full for that.
